Doubt, Doubt, Let it all Out

Doubt, Doubt, Let it all Out

Ideas can launch us into new places, and the best ones create solutions for problems. On the other hand, self-doubt can send us on a downward spirals, and the problem is these downward spirals echo the same voices we have often heard on repeat for as long as we can remember. There is nothing new or creative about self-doubt. It does not solve a problem - it only sends us further down a road that is not our path or our calling. We are walking backwards, and bumping into that same old scenery from yesterday, listening to that same mixed cassette tape from 1984.

Hush hush, keep it down now
Voices carry — ‘Til Tuesday

I found myself here this weekend. Voices from the past carrying me into a future. Before I know it, I am in a plaid skirt and saddle oxfords, feeling like I don’t fit in, or I am staring blankly at a test unprepared again. So that’s where I was this weekend - thinking what am I trying to do, who do I think I am, who buys art online, will anyone take me seriously ?

So it’s time to get creative, and imagine that I am onto a good idea, because honestly, I do think I am. At the very least, I am giving art a place to hang 24/7, 365 days a week, and giving artists the flexibility to sell online and at markets and shows on their own.

I am also giving customers the ability to shop from home, while coordinating in-person private visits to see art, consulting on what works best for your walls, and pop-ups so you can pop-by in person,

And at the very most, I will make a difference and help artists sell more art and find a way to support myself while doing so. I will help provide the data that drives industry, except for in the art world, where that data is often missing, leaving artists to guess what works, who’s buying, and why.

I invite you to open your imagination with me and help me in doing this because it takes a village to raise art to great heights.

Here is the latest from ART BEAT

  • I am excited/nervous to announce the official launch date for the Art Beat Online Marketplace is NOVEMBER 21st.

  • And also, the ART BEAT app is ready! I have made a video below explaining the concept, and how to download it onto your phone. In a nutshell it’s a community effort, and my hope is it will make it easier to know what’s happening in art all around Nashville because there is so much happening.

The app can be found @ artbeat.app! And you can also open it in the browser without needing to download it to your phone. Also, follow us on Instagram @ artbeatnashville. We so love it when you comment. A little encouragement goes a long way!

Thanks for reading, and supporting Art Beat!
