The title of this mixed media painting comes from one of the several collage pieces layered in. While working on this piece I picked up a scrap from an International Justice Center* newsletter - a handwritten letter from a survivor of human trafficking that read, "I Choose to Become".
The botanicals in this piece are a symbol of the possibility of human flourishing when nourished with freedom and love for one another.
Painted around all sides on a 1.5" deep gallery wrapped 24x24" canvas; wired and ready to hang.
