Art Keeps The Spirit Alive
When I had the Art Beat gallery, people would sometimes stop by to show me the work of a loved one who had passed on, and they didn’t know what to do with it. I understood that longing to keep the spirit and treasures of someone you love alive after they are gone.
I had the same longing. It’s why I began writing after losing my late husband. It took time to call myself a writer, and even longer to see it as art.
As I start this new chapter of Art Beat and the online marketplace, I have also decided to dedicate more time to my writing and to sharing it. If you’d like to follow along, you can find me on Junebug Strong Substack here, or follow me on Instagram @junebugstrong.
I hope you will join us in honoring the artists and creative spirits who live on through their work.
Tag @artbeatnashville or DM the art of someone you love who’s passed on — I’ll share the video Sunday at 7 PM. 💜
